About

Two fiercely independent LA transplants declared they were going to make a movie.

And nobody could stop them.

About

About

In 2024, best friends Caroline Sierk and Remy Carlisle Averitt put their heads together to launch Parasol Productions, an independent production label amplifying outsider stories. As foreigners themselves in California, Sierk and Averitt found community with one another, and committed to inspire inclusivity for other young creatives— offering shelter and belonging under the "parasol."

Since then, Parasol has lived up to its promise by producing innovative independent short films, music videos, and documentaries. Its accomplishments in filmmaking have been recognized by the Berlin Women's Cinema Festival, as well as by The Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Caroline Sierk
